Last Project
So for this last project of the year I plan to showcase some of my favorite films, music, and an assortment of things in a meshed, and hopefully cohesive way. There will be about 5 segments of music in the background of the rest of he video that will hopefully mesh. The video will most likey include scenes from some of my favorite movies or a clever slide show of things I enjoy doing.

Individual Projects/ Color & Texture /Texture & Timbre
I am planning to make a type of a sideshow with music that changes to the mood of the scene. The scenes will be of nature, demonstrating the textures found all around. Also i can hopefully manipulate the colors of nature to set another type of mood with color. Im planning to compose the music in the background as well that will go along with the scenes.
Update: i now plan to combine the idea of textures with timbre. music will be shown with an associated clip of something that resembles the music. For example harsh 8-bit noise will show brick walls.
I have uploaded one of the sections of the music to show a better example. This music would represent rough, hard, grainy materials: http://soundcloud.com/leunamiam/everybody-in-the-future-hates

End of Semester/ Out With The Old And In With The New
The past semester in this class has a very interesting and introspective. It made me realize that a class is only taught by teachers and executed by it's students. This past week we had to write down 2 things on a piece of paper and put them in their designated boxes. The 1st was for something you didn't want to happen in the new year (2011), and the other would be something you will try to improve with yourself in any form. A lot of these things have to do with a deeper reflection of ourselves, just like the haiku and the cranes. I hope to see more creative activities next semester. I really appreciate the effort made by all the teachers in this class to better ourselves by exploring different ideas. Also i got into a band named Tassel Tassel (Logo Above & Below). We have a show coming up on the 30th at The Prophet Bar (If anyone is interested).(Facebook, Soundcloud, Myspace.)

Paper Cranes And Haiku
So this week all the classes were assigned to make paper cranes because of the belief that making enough will make a wish of yours come true. The legend says one person must make 1000, but i don't think we are sticking to close to it. So each student was assigned to make 10. (I think) Mrs. J told us they would be going in her room as well as in the Green Room, which will also look nice.
The other half of the assignment was to make a haiku, meaning to make a short poem with 5 syllables on the 1st line, 7 syllables on the 2nd, and 5 once more on the 3rd. It also had to pertain to the holiday season in a way. So here goes mine:

My computer did actually break, i dropped it on cement right outside my house on Sunday with a candy cane in my mouth. Maybe the wind blew it. Anyway, that's the reasoning for my Haiku.

C³
Circles...
Circles have a very contributing part in music. In most (or popular) song forms a certain pattern must repeat in the song in order to have a certain catchiness to it, making it enjoyable to be listen to. There is also a Baroque form called Rondo in which you repeat the beginning of the piece at the ending (ABACABA), making circular ideals even more musical. Another example would be that The Circle of Fifths is written out in a way that you are always going back wherever you started in the keys signatures (Clockwise or counter clockwise).
